Climate

 

.Tivat has typical Mediterranean climate with mild and rainy winters and fair and hot summers. It can be also said that Tivat has distinctive climate caused by non-homogeneous relief so that there are local differences in climate in such a small area. The average annual temperature is 15º C

 

It is the sunniest town in the Bay of Boka with 2246.2 hours of sunshine in a year.

 

The most frequent winds are: bura (north-east wind) during the winter and mistral (west wind) in summer. Jugo blows very often in autumn and winter and it is very warm and brings rain.

 

Rain is almost only precipitation and others are very rare. The average annual precipitation is 1755mm mostly during the cold period of the year. Due to its climate Tivat is suitable for both summer and winter tourism.
